During the summer, the YMCA can get a little slow at times.  On this particular day there was not much going on so Becky gave me some work to take home and do.  I made an excel sheet for the upcoming track and field tee-shirt orders.  It was easier to do this excel sheet because it was the same kind of set up as I did for the tee-ball tee-shirt orders.
The next day Becky had some more things for me to do for her.  There were old folders that the last year tee-ball coaches and coach pitch coaches used that had left over papers with rosters, schedules, and some other papers that were left in the folders; there were 10 total.  I emptied and labeled the folders and put the new rosters, registration forms, waivers, snack day sign up, information about picture day, and the schedule of games and practices for each team.  Some of the teams kids didn't have their registration waiver filled out or some families just forgot to mark what size tee shirt that they needed; so Becky had me call those families and ask to either come in and fill out a waiver or give us a tee shirt size.  Some parents argued about having to buy tee shirts because they had old jersey's that the Y used in previous years; but the YMCA recently changed their logo and are trying to get rid of all the old logo shirts & jersey's.  I also explained to the parents that the tee shirts were cheaper for the YMCA and can be easier/ faster to produce rather than the jersey's that have 4 different sides to them because they were reversible.  Another good reason to switch to tee shirts is that they can be worn after the season is over and would get more use out of them rather than jersey's.
I also made a contact list on an excel sheet with the coaches & players phone numbers.  This sheet will be given to all the parents and the coaches in case they need to get a hold of them.  I had to update some numbers that were wrong in the YMCA system by what was on the waiver registration forms.
I had to update and revise the tee-ball & coach pitch packet for parents.  This packet had information about what the parents can do and if they need to have any equipment for their kid, the rules, and some suggestions to help run the practices for the kids.  It had some things that needed to be changed like dates and times.  Just a couple updates before we sent them out to the parents.  After I was done correcting the packet I had to stuff some more folders for the coaches, including the packets that I just updated.
Today Becky and I went up to Nationals Field and cleaned out the storage room.  We brought up the tee-ball equipment and took out the football and soccer equipment and took them to the garage in the YMCA.  The storage room was a little unorganized so we cleaned it up and organized it.  We also cleaned up the restrooms and around the field.
